Ok, before you keep questioning me where the hell is this Subang Avenue Shopping Complex, first you have to know where is Subang Parade. Beside Subang Parade, there is a Carrefour hypermarket and recently, some apartments/condos have been mushrooming in that area and this Subang Avenue Shopping Complex is the apartment/commercial centre right beside Carrefour. It's actually in the middle between Carrefour and the Haikara Cafe that I like in E-Tiara.
This place has just been opened recently. As told to me by my colleague, this restaurant is another branch from the Kam Ho Restaurant in Guang Zhou, Hong Kong and also one in Birmingham. Since he has been frequenting this restaurant for 3 times in a week, he invited us for lunch at this place. It is indeed quite a big restuarant and a few private rooms where you can host a dinner up to 20 people in one table. However, minimum commitment on food bill to use the room is RM600.
They have a really large menu with beautiful pictures!!
They serve a pretty number of dishes that you don't normally see in typical chinese restaurant. However, the prices are not that cheap either. And I was told that they do serve dim sum for lunch but I have yet to try them. Wines & liquors are available, mostly labels from Bacardi Martini.
Wa Wa vege dish with chicken stock, kailan & Pork neck meat with vege.Wa Wa is a type of Chinese baby cabbage, tender and with a sweet flavour. This is recommended as the stock is also very nice.
Wei Mei caught me tweeting with Richard's Blackberry Storm. It's really nice to be able to tweet on the spot and you can also FB while eating! If you would like to get the new BB Storm 9520, Celcom is offering an attractive promo deal of only RM216/month. Check out the latest promo deals here.
In true China style, you're given 2 packs of these tissues on the table instead of the usual individual napkins! The total bill came up to about RM350+ for 6 of us. I think the hefty price tag goes to the roast goose which is RM88/half and the whole goose for RM168. The chicken costs around RM70 and the stewed beef is around RM40. Corkage charge is at RM30 (one time charge).
There are some hits and misses and I don't mind to go back again to try the other dishes. Since it's newly opened, expect the service to be quite disappointing because they are still very much in a daze.

Hehehehehe!!!! well spotted. I didnt realise the packet tissue thingy is unique only to HK and China. Now that you rightly pointed out, it made sense.
The part of roast goose etc... I really think it is a good idea for you need to blog one on the Siu Mei of HK.
sounds like a typical Cantonese cuisine. . .
What a great resource!

phone number seem not right...
Kevin: Really? I followed the number on the namecard and I double check it today and it was the same number. Perhaps you can try this 012-6443198 and look for Marco Yip?
The dishes I had were not great... They were trying to push us to try their tiger grouper soup with a 1.3kg fish when we only had 4 people.. I don't think this place is worth rrevisiting..
Tummy Rumble: Thanks for highlighting that because I haven't return to the restaurant.
Hahaha, I'll be having CNY reunion dinner here with all my uncles, aunts, and cousins.
The atmosphere is very good. The place has good potential, but unfortunatley they have a long way to go. I went there about 5 or 6 times, and tried most of the things on their menu. I've been to many Chinese restuarants around the globe, including all around China, and endulged in all types of Chinese cusine. On a scale of 1-10, this place is a solid 3 at best. I can't figure out why they invested so much on a great looking place, only to have less then mediocre chef's and ingredients.
This is a terrible place indeed. The service was horrendous - to say the least. We couldn't speak mandarin, but the waitress just acted dumb and refused to explain in cantonese. We waited more than 40 minutes for the dishes to arrive, and only after we said we wanted the bill, regardless of the dishes yet to come, did they miraculously appear. When the bill came we were charged 'FOC fruits' RM 4.00 per pax. Telling them to correct that took another 10 minutes. Guess how many tables of customers were there? 2, including us. That's service for you right there. Disgraceful - my first and last visit ever, thankyouverymuch.
Its such as you read my thoughts! You seem to understand a lot approximately this, like
you wrote the guide in it or something. I feel that you can do with some % to power the message house a little bit, however other than that, that is great blog. A great read. I will certainly be back.
