Ok, the title seems a bit out of place in my blog. Afterall, it's my personal blog where I blog about wine, dine, cigars, chocolates and also some random stuff. This post should fall under chocolates then. Everyone by now would have know which brand I worked for and thus this post is related to work. Sometime last year, Melody from The Moodie Report came and interviewed my boss for his view on confectionery market in Malaysian travel retail market under their category insight article. I was also called in at the same time and thus the highlight of Fidani in their September 2008 issue. I had no idea about it until a few days ago where I saw my colleague highlighting the article in her presentation.

interesting market strategy,just wan to share some of my personal thoughts ....hope u wont mind...ok? its a brilliant idea that chocolate shop to be located on those high traffic area , its a good idea actually but some how its a sad sign that large amount of malaysia consumer wont appreciate chocolate until certain season like Valentine...;-/ . it true that they dont treat chocolate like perfume and etc as a first selection for present ......and most malaysia consumer judge pastry and dessert by size not quality....! well it just my personal point of view ....no offense ok....still i learn some marketing strategy from this post..;-p thanks
Breadpitt: You have your point. That's why chocolates are impulse buying products which you do not plan in advance to buy. Many has not realised on the importance of quality in chocolates. That's why size matters when they choose a box of chocolates. Glad you learn something from the article.
